Happy March – here we are in the third month, at the start of Autumn already! We check out the latest Marvel flick you have to watch, wise words from Michelle Obama and the cool kiwi muso you need to know.
Music: Robinson
Anna Robinson, known musically as Robinson is a 21-year-old hailing from Nelson and her new track, Nothing to Regret – which has already reached over a million streams on Spotify – is a total banger. The recent Sony Music New Zealand signee enlisted Joel Little and Sam de Jong to co-produce the track. 2018 is already off to a firing start for the talented kiwi and we can’t wait to hear her upcoming new music.
Travel: Gold Coast
Beautiful coastlines, thrilling adventure parks and wildlife experiences galore, the Gold Coast is an ultimate tourist destination. The Queensland city has lots on offer and is only one hour’s drive from Brisbane for more fun. Next month the GC will play host to the 2018 Commonwealth Games with over 6600 athletes from around the world competing over eleven days.
Book: Parris Goebel – Young Queen
Parris Goebel’s CV is pretty damn impressive and her story of how hard work got her there is inspirational. Parris puts pen to paper to share her journey this month with the release of her debut book, Young Queen (releasing on March 15th). Young Queen follows the now-26 year-old working with the likes of Justin Bieber, Jennifer Lopez, Janet Jackson and Rihanna and how her dance journey began.
Film: Black Panther
The latest Marvel flick, Black Panther is causing a stir worldwide, and so it should – it’s brilliant. When Black Panther’s (Chadwick Boseman) leadership is threatened by Erik Killmonger (Michael B. Jordan) and other foes, it’s time to fight back. The movie already ticks all of the great-watch boxes but takes it up a notch with Kendrick Lamar as the curator of the soundtrack for the action blockbuster.
Quote: Michelle Obama
I can’t wait to read Michelle Obama’s anticipated upcoming personal book later in the year for further words of wisdom.
“Success isn’t about how much money you make, its about the difference you make in people’s lives.” – Michelle Obama
