This is the first year I have been in the U.S. for Thanksgiving. America is huge on their holidays and this one is no exception. Katie and I flew to Green Bay to attend the Green Bay Packers Thanksgiving game with some of the cast of The 60 Yard Line.
It was definitely much colder in Wisconsin than it was a few weeks ago when we were filming, but still not enough snow on the ground to finish our winter scenes. Which means we get to go back again early in 2016!
Although the Packers didn’t win, that didn’t stop us from having an epic time. We got to go on the field before the game and have a tour of Lambeau. The highlight would have been coming out of the tunnel to an empty stadium the night before the game and imagining what it must be like for the players to take that same walk but to the sound of 60,000 screaming fans.
Funny Girls wrapped up Season One last week. Based on the feedback I have seen on social, it looks like everyone enjoyed the show. Fingers crossed for a second season. I know all the cast and crew are hoping for it. We had the best time on set and everyone’s dedication to creating something unique and cutting edge was 110% achieved. One of my fav sketches was Pinky Promise Ring – Check out the Funny Girls Facebook or YouTube page to see some of this seasons highlights.
In honour of Thanksgiving and being grateful in general I wanted to thank each and every one of you who has supported me on my journey this far. I still have so much I want to achieve and knowing that I have support and encouragement gives me the confidence to keep pursuing my dreams. Thank you for all being a part of my journey. I am forever grateful.
Much love,
Kimberley xx
