Malala Yousafzai made headlines as the girl who defied the Taliban. As a result of her protests for girl’s rights to receive an education, she was shot in the head by a Taliban gunman in 2012, but survived. Since, she has continued to raise awareness on education. In 2014 she became the youngest person to receive the Nobel Peace Prize. Emma Watson recently sat down alongside Malala to discuss a range of topics from Gender Equality to Yousafzai’s upcoming film, “He named me Malala”. This interview is well worth a watch.

One artist making waves across the globe is Swedish songstress, Zara Larsson. Since winning Sweden’s Talang Sverige (Got Talent), her music has reached triple platinum status, but it’s only the beginning. She has just signed a three-album deal with Epic Records. If you are a fan of Rihanna and Miley Cyrus, you might want to give Zara’s new single ‘Never Forget You’ a listen.
Book Club
The focus of this week’s book club will be Lesley Pearse’s novel, Tara. This coming of age tale spans across three generations, giving us readers an insight into a history much different from the way we live now. The book is filled with unexpected twists; a few laughs and it might even make you shed a few tears!
