Huge amount of precision, bravery, sacrifice, commitment.
HOW DID YOU LAND YOUR JOB?
From years of practice, nothing comes over night. I was able to produce the results at crucial times in my career to get me to where I am now, which is on the brink of my dream – Formula One.
IS THERE ANYTHING YOU DON’T LIKE ABOUT YOUR JOB?
The politics involved, and the huge amount of money that we need to race.
WHAT ARE THE BEST PERKS ABOUT YOUR JOB?
The adrenaline, there is nothing like driving a car to its limit. It is a massively rewarding sport.
WHAT’S THE HARDEST PART?
To be able to cope with more downs than ups. You can’t win all the time, and even to win it’s incredibly difficult. The pressure is immense and sometimes can get on top of you.
WHAT SUBJECTS AT SCHOOL WOULD YOU RECOMMEND STUDENTS TAKE?
I think it massively depends on what you want to do with your life. Some subjects that I was taught I use every day but others I have never used since I left school so I think it varies from person to person and obviously what you enjoy.

BEST ADVICE YOU’VE EVER BEEN GIVEN?
– Professional:Â Nothing is certain, that is why you have to give everything you do 100%.
– Personal:Â Keep grounded, and not get too far ahead of yourself.

You have to enjoy yourself, with whatever you do. There is no point going through life being miserable. Do something you love and enjoy your life, we aren’t here for long.
