Happy August! We’re loving Dua Lipa’s new music, travelling to the islands and you need to hear these wise words from Steve Jobs.
Spotlight On: Dua Lipa
The 21-year-old songstress hails from London and her recently released self-titled debut album has been making serious musical waves. While she’s released collaborations with the likes of Martin Garrix and Miguel, her latest single New Rules is an absolute banger and the music video has gone viral, with over 62 million views. The talented singer will touch down on NZ shores early next year supporting Bruno Mars at his four sold-out arena shows in Auckland.
Travel Bucket List #7: Santorini
Santorini is the picturesque island off the coast of Greece, that you may even recognise from the scenes of Blake Lively film, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. I’ve been getting a little envious myself as one of my pals has been posting her travels on her Instagram (@amys_._world) and it’s made me want to visit this unreal place more than ever, just look at that sight in her photo!
Book: Charlotte Crosby – Brand New Me
Reality star Charlotte Crosby has been a regular on our TV screens and now the #1 Best Selling Author is back with her second autobiography, after she’s been on a ‘bit of a rollercoaster.’ She’s ‘stronger, wiser and outrageous as ever’ as the Just Tattoo of Us host delves into her shock departure and the heartbreak she went through after having a ectopic pregnancy. Brand New Me is available now online and in all good bookstores.
Movie: Dunkirk
He may be known for his musical chops but Harry Styles has just made his first feature film acting debut in the much-anticipated Christopher Nolan directed, Dunkirk. The recently cinema-released movie also stars Tom Hardy, Mark Rylance and Cillian Murphy. Watch as Nolan’s thriller follows the hundreds of thousands trapped English troops that need to fight to survive and make it home.
Quote: Steve Jobs
“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.” – Steve Jobs
