Hey team,
I feel like every day this past week has tried to ‘out adrenaline’ the one before it.
I kicked the week off with an attempt to wake surf. I couldn’t quite get up on my own but with the help of Jesse we were able to navigate our way behind the boat with ease. I loved it! My big goal this summer in NZ is to be more competent on my board. Dream achieved for sure and I took some great shots of us behind the boat with Auckland city in the background.
Before heading to Australia I had a couple of Shortland Street reunions. The first watching Cam and Matt complete the harbour crossing and a dinner with Jacquie Nairn to meet her two new kittens!
I took part in my first activity through actionmakeschange.org – dropping off clothes for the homeless pop up store in down town Auckland. A huge thank you to all those who have supported AMC already and who dropped off clothes. Apparently they received over 5,000 items!
Sydney was a fleeting visit to meet my family who are based there. Some of them I had never met before so I was insanely excited. I am trying to be more intentional with my time and really make sure I have quality time with all my family when I am over this side of the world. We were shattered but I was able to convince Dad to head to Bondi to check it out and I stumbled across one of my good friends and favourite actors Lincoln. Small world, I think so!
Today we landed in Far North Queensland where we will be based for a few days, enjoying the sunshine and attempting to meet some of the exciting animas this region has.
It has been an adventure week for sure and I can’t wait to see what the rest of the week will bring.
Sending lots of love to you all.
Kimberley xx
