Beauty File: Make Up Brushes

Sometimes the quality of your makeup isn’t the only thing that affects your look. Make Up Brushes are your best tool to keeping your foundation and eye shadow blended to perfection.

Today I am going to go through some of my favourite purchases.

If you don’t want to break the bank, then I recommend The Real Techniques Range. These brushes were created by Samantha and Nic Chapman (YouTube Gurus, Pixiwoo) and definitely have my seal of approval. The pointed foundation brush is my top pick.

If you have a bit of money to spend then I suggest you look into buying MAC Cosmetics 224 Eye shadow Brush. If you are like me and find it hard to blend darker eye shadows, then I suggest you purchase this little treasure. The 224 is a long, fluffy brush with a dome-shaped tip designed for assisting you with blending out colour. It will make eye shadow application a breeze.

The Bare Escentuals Precision Face Brush is another item I highly recommend. Not only can you use it to blend your foundation you can also use it to apply powder. Silky synthetic bristles are angled to fit the contours of your face, leaving you with a flawless and defined finish.

Popular New Zealand Vlogger Shannon Harris (Shaaanxo) has also released a high quality brush collection, XO Beauty. The Flat Top Synthetic Face Brush gives great coverage and leaves you with no fall out. The XO Beauty Range is available online and is great if you’re on a budget.

Overall, any of these Brands will supply amazing brushes; just make sure you buy the real thing as there are a lot of counterfeit products on the market.
